Welcome

Welcome to our story.  We are a family who have found that normal life makes us restless, and we have been searching for a different path and pace.  In the FIRE (Financially Independent Retired Early) community we have found that there are many like us; those who are unsatisfied with the normal course in life.  This blog is our way of sharing with you that you are also not alone in your desire to break free.

Our goal is to share our story from the beginning so that you may take inspiration from it as we start from nothing, go into immense debt, and then begin the long process of climbing out of it.  We learn many personal finance lessons along the way, and are striving for something even better now.
